Trial Overview
The Diabetic Kidney disease Clinical trial Protocol is a Phase 3 clinical trial aiming at in addition to evidence-based standard of care in patients with diabetic kidney disease (diabetic nephropathy).
Key Inclusion Criteria
- Age
- 30 to 80 years old at the time of informed consent
- Diagnosis
- Documented type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM)
- Documented chronic kidney disease (CKD) due to T2DM
(Renal biopsy not required)
- Kidney Function (eGFR)
- eGFR 20 to 35 ml/min/1.73m²

Compensation
– For each Kidney biopsy Procedure the patient will be paid $ 500 and for each visit $ 250.
– If the patient completes all 24 visits, including the three procedures (biopsy and injections), they will receive a total of $6,000.
– After completing the 24 protocol visits, patients will have follow-up visits every 12 weeks until ProKidney reaches the protocol endpoints and concludes the trial. Each visit will be compensated at $250.
